Biography:

After leaving school with A-levels in Geography, Biology and Chemistry Sarah attended UWIC where she gained a BSc First Class Honours Degree in Sports Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage. Throughout university Sarah was fortunate enough to gain a wide range of work placements and got the opportunities to work with the Welsh Rugby 7’s Team, Scarlets Rugby Team and the Welsh Ladies Hockey Team.

Sarah has always been involved in sport from a young age, playing tennis from the age of three. Sarah has represented Gloucestershire in tennis at county level and is a qualified tennis coach, previously working at Painswick L.T.C. Sarah continued playing tennis throughout university representing the Ladies First team in the Premier Division. Sarah has also enjoyed playing hockey for Stroud since she was twelve and will captain the ladies first team during their 2015/2016 season.

After University Sarah travelled to New Zealand and Australia where she continued to work within sport, gaining a work placement with the Northern Mystics Netball team in Auckland. Sarah has always had an interest in travel and has been lucky enough to visit 17 different countries, including India, Malaysia, Borneo and the USA. After returning from travelling Sarah decided she wanted to combine her two passions and pursue a career in sport and travel.

“Bournemouth for its sandy beaches, great restaurants and long walks- when the sun is shining there is nowhere better than the UK.”

Most Memorable Travel Experience

“Completing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing in New Zealand. It is a ranked among the top ten single-day treks in the world and consists of walking 19.4 kilometres, passing Mount Ngauruhoe (also known as Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings) and walking through an Active Volcanic Hazard Zone.”
