Burleigh Travel are delighted to confirm the date for the 2012 Hilversum Mini & Junior Rugby Festival in Holland will be Sunday 8th April 2012. We have sent numerous teams to this festival in previous years and we feel this would be the ideal destination for any mini & junior rugby teams wishing to undertake a rugby tour to Europe in 2012 providing competitive rugby for all sides.

As you can see from the video below the Hilversum Rugby Festival provides good competitive rugby with the fantastic social element touring is all about and we feel this would provide a wonderful rugby tour for any mini or junior rugby team:

Sandroyd School enjoyed a highly successful cricket tour to South Africa earlier this year. The group enjoyed a fully packed itinerary in Johannesburg, Cape Town and the Aquila Game Reserve with 11 nights accommodation and playing 4 fixtures. Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate the team on their performances playing some highly competitive cricket.

Burleigh Travel, in conjunction with Bognor Rugby Club, hosted the Bognor Junior Rugby Festival on Sunday 10th April in glorious conditions. This enabled all age groups to play some wonderful, free flowing, running rugby and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed this fantastic youth rugby festival with a number vowing to return to this junior rugby festival in 2012!

Burleigh Travel are pleased to announce that Devizes RFC U15 are the winners of the best video clip from their tour to the Bournemouth Junior Rugby Festival in April 2011.

Following an entertaining look back at the various clips which were taken throughout our mini and junior rugby festivals in Bognor and Bournemouth the Burleigh Travel judges felt that the following clip from Devizes RFC U15 was the funniest.

As you can see when viewing the video below, they have managed to fit an entire rugby team in a Bedford Van during their rugby tour to the Bournemouth Junior Rugby Festival.

Bognor Rugby Club in conjunction with Burleigh Travel hosted the Bognor RFC Mini Rugby Festival on Saturday 9th April. Over 30 teams participated in this mini rugby festival on a gloriously sunny day and some brilliant, competitive rugby was played at all age groups throughout the day.

Liverpool University Cricket Club have recently returned from their highly enjoyable and successful cricket tour to Australia. This cricket tour was a 19 day 4 fixture tour based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne where they even managed to watch England retain The Ashes! Burleigh Travel would like to offer their congratulations to the team on their performances on the field and clearly their fantastic support at The MCG which no doubt helped the England Cricket team in winning the test match!

Pate’s Grammar School RFC U13 & U14 enjoyed a highly successful rugby tour to Cork in Ireland during the October half term and Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate them on remaining unbeaten on their tour playing some fantastic rugby in what were some difficult conditions.

On the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th May over 160 teams participated in the Amsterdam Cup Junior Football Tournament. In its 12th year this well established and brilliantly run festival is the ideal culmination to the football season and Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate the winners at each age group.

On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May Wimborne RFC hosted their mini rugby festivals with over 500 children taking part over the two days! On the Saturday the ‘B’ festival took place while the stronger ‘A’ sides took to the field on the Sunday. Burleigh Travel would like to pass on congratulations to all winners at this well established and fantastically organised mini rugby festival.

On Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th April over 250 teams from 15 countries competed in the Easter Open Junior Football Tournament in Holland. This is a well established and brilliantly organised junior football tournament and Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate the winners at every age group of this fantastic event.
