GENERAL INFORMATION

The group had chosen a 4 day combined hockey and football tour and were based in the South of Holland, on the outskirts of one of the areas liveliest towns. The accommodation was of a high standard with an excellent bar and restaurant serving a large buffet style breakfast. The lively town nearby with its host of cafes, restaurants, bars and excellent nightlife that continues well into the night was available to the group should they wish to venture out of the hotel.

MONDAY 28TH OCTOBER

The party were met at the college by representatives of Burleigh Travel and left by executive coach at 08.00 hours for the journey to Dover and the 12.15 hours ferry to Calais. After a short crossing to France the coach transferred the group to their accommodation in Holland by 19.00 hours. The evening was then free to make use of the hotels facilities or head for the nearby town.

TUESDAY 29TH OCTOBER

After breakfast, the party left their hotel and travelled to Amsterdam. After a day of sightseeing they boarded the coach before travelling to their first set of fixtures.

The carefully selected opposition ensured close matches and at the final whistle the group spent time socialising with their hosts.
