SUNDAY 3RD AUGUST 2003 |

|
 |
The group took
advantage of this free day in Sydney to explore the Darling Harbour
area and the highlight of their day was a pre-arranged trip to the
popular Sydney Aquarium. |
|
|

MONDAY 4TH AUGUST
2003
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|

After an early breakfast, it
was time to say goodbye to Sydney and fly on to the second port of
call of the tour – Melbourne. Upon arrival the group enjoyed
a brief City highlights tour before checking into their accommodation.

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Once the group had settled
in, they were collected by coach and transferred to the Melbourne
observation deck and Rialto Vision. Here the group enjoyed a 20-minute
video on Melbourne & Victoria before ascending in the elevator
to experience spectacular 360° panoramic views of Melbourne and surrounds. |

|
Once the group had enjoyed the views, they were transferred back to
their hotel for their evening meal, which was taken in a superb oriental
restaurant on the hotel premises.

TUESDAY 5TH AUGUST
2003
After breakfast the group had the opportunity to see the
city from the Yarra River. The group enjoyed a morning cruise, which
is an ideal way to see the city.

|
|
After the completion of the
cruise, the group was transferred to their first fixtures in Melbourne
and the third of the tour.
The rugby team enjoyed an astounding victory in a comprehensive
manner scoring a total of 6 tries, one of which scored by Simon
Tanner, (right) after another strong performance.

Light refreshments were enjoyed after the fixture, before the players
departed to collect the hockey team and return to their accommodation.

The girls also enjoyed a win,
their second of their tour in a thoroughly enjoyable fixture.

The hockey players enjoyed a fine spread after their fixtures with
an extremely welcoming host school – many thanks to Ivanhoe
for their hospitality.
Evening meal was taken at the sister hotel of the property that
the group were staying in. The restaurant manager Lindsey made them
feel extremely welcome each night they visited.

WEDNESDAY 6TH AUGUST
2003
This day was a free day where the group arranged to visit the Melbourne
Aquatic Centre for the morning to make use of the leisure pool, diving
pool, Spa and competition pool. |
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
 |
In the afternoon the group
had free time to explore central Melbourne in smaller groups, some
people opted to explore the shopping district of Melbourne and others
enjoyed a guided tour of the MCG, Australian Gallery of Sport & Olympic Museum and the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame. |

|

|
|
THURSDAY 7TH AUGUST
2003 This was again a free morning where most decided
to hit the shops.
The afternoon saw the second and final fixtures in Melbourne. |

Both teams enjoyed fantastic after match
hospitality at Marcellin College where the girls were kindly invited
to attend. Once they had completed an enjoyable meal kindly prepared
by the Marcellin Parents and the formalities had been completed the
group bid farewell to their hosts and returned to their hotel. Thanks
again to Marcelin College for their hospitality.
The group enjoyed their final meal in Melbourne at the Harbour
View in Lindsey's company where he kindly held a presentation evening
for the group to commemorate their time in Melbourne. All had an
enjoyable evening. |
