Bristol Barbarians RFC enjoyed a three night rugby tour to Spain, staying in Lloret de Mar, renowned for its spectacular beaches and vibrant nightlife. The EU has awarded its beaches the Blue Flag, which is a benchmark guaranteeing the highest of standards both in terms of the quality of the water, sand and of the services. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is only an hour's drive down the coastline. |

After a short flight, the remainder of the first day of their rugby tour to Spain was spent exploring Lloret de Mar. Numerous watering holes were frequented and the compulsory fancy dress theme ensured the group entered straight into the touring spirit. Their celebrations went on well into the night. |

Bristol Barbarians had a well needed morning (or should we say late morning!!) and early afternoon free before departing for their rugby fixture against CN Poble Nou Enginyers. |

 The game was an enjoyable affair and one of the most memorable parts of the rugby tour to Spain - even though it proved too much for some (right)! |

After the game, the group were given an warm welcome by their hosts at the Enginyers Club and the usual after match and rugby tour traditions were enjoyed by both teams before the group returned to the centre of Lloret De Mar to enjoy the final night of their rugby tour to Spain. |

SUNDAY 17 TH APRIL 2005After dragging themselves out of bed and with hangovers in full swing the group were transferred to the airport for their return flight to the UK to complete their onward journey to Bristol to end an enjoyable, but somewhat tiring rugby tour to Spain.

On return from their rugby tour to Spain Bristol Barbarians RFC summed up their tour by saying: ‘Excellent we're very, very pleased. Our time at Poble Nou was very good, they were excellent hosts.' |
