Senior Rugby Tour to Cardiff

During their senior rugby tour to Cardiff, the players of Devonport Services Rugby Club were able to combine both a playing tour with watching the EDF Semi Finals in the Millennium Stadium in one phenomenal weekend of rugby!

The senior rugby tour started on the Friday with the group being picked up by coach and travelling to Cardiff for the early evening, allowing them plenty of time to visit the local pubs and clubs to really get into the 'tour' mood!

The Saturday was filled with watching the EDF Semi finals in the Millennium Stadium, where Leicester Tigers defeated London Wasps and The Ospreys beat Saracens - a result which no doubt made the celebrating in Cardiff even better that evening! The team were thrilled to find out that they had also made it on to the television during the semi final clashes - a highlight that will make a great anecdote for many tours to come!

On the Sunday of the tour the group had a lunch time fixture against Llanishen RFC which gave then plenty of time to socialise with the team afterwards and make their way home.

Combining the two types of rugby tour (supporter & player) provided an excellent weekend break for a social rugby tour.
