Summerfest 2008: Sports and Social Tournament Itinerary

FRIDAY 6TH JUNE 2008

Depart your University by coach where you will travel to Dover for your morning ferry crossing to Calais. The crossing will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and once in France your coach will transfer you to your accommodation in Holland by early evening. This evening you will be welcome to join the other touring sports teams and our Burleigh Travel representatives at the sports festival ‘Welcome Party’!

SATURDAY 7TH JUNE 2008 – SUMMERFEST DAY ONE

After breakfast you travel to your sports festival venues, where you will play team sports against other touring University teams and local sports clubs.

Once the day's sporting events are complete you will return to Amsterdam where a night on the town will likely be on the cards. Are you ready to party? Perhaps you may wish to pay a visit to one of the city’s infamous red light areas or many night clubs?

SUNDAY 8TH JUNE 2008 – SUMMERFEST DAY TWO

After your breakfast, travel to compete in the final events of the sports festival.

Once the sports events side of the festival is over, awards will be presented to the sporting victors, before you return to Amsterdam to your final celebrations. A night club will be hired out for the Summerfest 'Extra Time' closing party.

MONDAY 9TH JUNE 2008

After playing all that sport and socialising, you will have the day free to relax and recover from the previous days’ (and nights!) exertions. Travel to the port for your late afternoon return sailing, arriving in Dover to complete your journey home.
