Ryde School from the Isle of Wight travelled on a cricket tour to South Africa in February 2005. The cricket tour was split over three centres giving the tourists the opportunity to experience the variety of sights, sounds and attractions that South Africa has to offer; including the beaches of Natal, the Wildlife of the African Bush and the historic sights of Cape Town. Throughout the cricket tour of South Africa, fixtures were played at U13 level with the group receiving fantastic welcomes by each and everyone of their hosts. The cricket tour was crowned with a visit to a One Day International fixture between South Africa and England which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
