Datchworth RFC U18’s travelled to South Africa for a 18 night, 3 centre rugby tour visiting Durban, Northern Natal and Cape Town. As part of the package provided by Burleigh Travel, the group enjoyed 5 rugby fixtures, a 3 night stay at a game reserve in Northern Natal where they enjoyed game drives and a boat cruise, and visits to other famous attractions such as Table Mountain and Robben Island. As well as playing competitive fixtures Burleigh Travel also arranged for the group to visit the Newlands Forest area to enjoy a rugby training day with former Leicester, London Irish and Gloucester rugby star Jake Boer. The day included 2 hours of fitness and fun in the forest area, an afternoon rugby skills clinic as well as lunch at a local rugby club and an evening BBQ; a once in a lifetime experience!
