Saracens RFCU17's toured New Zealand in 2005 on a 21 day rugby tour that took them to Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch. The group enjoyed a blend of hotel accommodation in the tourist areas of the major Cities and time spent with local families which gave a ture experience of the way of life in New Zealand. In addition to rugby, New Zealand is also renowned for its advenutre sports and in Rotorua the group enjoyed a days white water rafting as well as a visit to the popular Agrodome. The group were also treated to a traditional Maori welcome upon meeting on set of hosts and also had to face the trade mark Haka prior to their fixture - something that the players should remember for ever. |
