Barbados is our number one choice for cricket tours to the Caribbean, and on their recent end of season tour Stourport-on-Severn CC found out why. Embarking on a two week trip they enjoyed fixtures against our ever welcoming hosts, as well as enjoying some of the island’s amazing excursions, trips and beaches. We were delighted to receive their letter below, which highlights what a successful trip they all had.
“I am writing to thank all of the staff and Directors of Burleigh Travel who worked extremely hard to create a tailor made cricket tour and a truly memorable two weeks in beautiful Barbados.
The accommodation at All Seasons Resort in Holetown was purpose built for a cricket tour, the well-appointed apartments providing us with the flexibility to fully appreciate the local beach bars, restaurants and unique night life.
Our tour party of 32, was made up of 15 playing members, wives, girlfriends and offspring, many of our players being veterans. The tour itinerary was well designed to provide a wide variety of activities and options for the non-playing members to enjoy while the team toiled in the 32-degree heat and watched our Barbadian hosts post formidable runs (although we did bowl both teams out in the allotted overs), and when it was our turn with the bat, runs became incredibly hard to come by and wickets fell regularly.
Needless to say we were soundly beaten in both of our matches (with the third being lost to the weather after on 3 overs), however the experience of playing against these talented players in conditions that would test the very best of players will never be forgotten. The grounds & facilities at both Isolation Cavaliers and Northern All Stars were superb, and overall the hospitality offered to all of our party was quite over whelming.
We cannot speak highly enough of our coach driver and general fixer Aaron (and his girlfriend Olivia), he really made our tour giving us fabulous insight and information as we travelled around the island, taking us to all of our games as well as Oistins Fish Fry, St Lawrence Gap, Bathsheba Botanical Gardens, Bridgetown, Speights town etc., etc.. We hope to see them again when they visit England next year.
It was widely agreed that the catamaran cruise with Tiami was the highlight of the tour, fantastic value for money, swimming with turtles and your glass was never empty.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Burleigh Travel to any sports teams planning similar international tours, and indeed will be requesting their team to start looking at our next destination in 2019, Sri Lanka or India.
