Colden Common YFC took for different age groups away on Football Tour to Dusseldorf, Germany. They took their U11, U13, U14 & U15’s with all these age groups and parents as well they took a group of 86 people.

The group left for Germany early friday morning, to get the ferry across to Calais and then carry on their jouney to Dusseldorf. Once arrived at the accommodation they checked in and then they had the rest of the evening to explore the local are to find where they will be based for the next three nights.

On the Saturday they would head to their first host club SSV Bergisch-Born. This is where they will be based for the day as the four different age group would play against the host club. It was a very hard day for the Touring teams as the weather was very hot and the host team were very strong. Despite this the U14’s team managed to get the win. But even thought they were a high standard of team they were very friendly and had great hospitality for the coaches & parents.

On Sunday they would head off after breakfast to their second host club for the day. Where they would be hosted by BW Alstedde. They really enjoyed this social club, lots of the host clubs parents had come to spectate and this was great as the traveling parents were able to socialise. Again the weather played a part in this one and was very hot again but this time all teams from Colden Common YFC won their matches.

On the Monday the team were able to reflect on on a brilliant tour, was they traveled to Calais again to get the ferry back to the UK.
