Thirty five players and supporters from Saffron Walden RFC embarked on a fantastic two night trip to Antwerp for their club’s rugby tour. The city has a new waterfront development, with a promenade of restaurants and bars, and a main square and market to explore. By night it is one of Belgium’s most vibrant cities, with a range of clubs and bars to explore.

The team departed from their local bus stop by coach which took them to Dover for the short ferry crossing. The team arrived in Antwerp in the early evening and had the chance to explore some of the cities bars and clubs.

Saturday morning was free to explore (and recover) before an afternoon match against RC Dendermonde. 

After the post match hospitality the team had another night out in Antwerp. They had the next morning to fit in the last bit of sightseeing before boarding their coach home.
