After a successful rugby tour to Spain, Prenton asked us to help them with a rugby tour to Germany. They picked Cologne as the city to based their tour around. Located on the Rhine River, the impressive city of Cologne is an excellent venue to host a tour. The stunning 13th Century Gothic Cathedral with its dramatic twin spires dominates the city by day, and by night forms the back drop for a city buzzing with vibrant nightlife. Tourists and locals alike enjoy the local beer, Kolsh, in the many pubs in the city, in what is one of the most friendly, fun loving places in Europe.
They flew into Cologne on Friday afternoon, giving them the evening free to explore the cities nightlife and bars. They had Saturday morning and afternoon free before their fixture against RC Huerth. After a competitive, but fun, game of rugby Prenton claimed victory. They commented on how well they were hosted by their opponents.
After the match they headed back to their accommodation to get ready for their second, and last, night out of tour! They had some time the next morning to recover and fit in some last minute sightseeing before heading home.
