Ollerton rugby club travelled with 40 tourists for a 3 night tour to Gloucester from there club near Mansfield. They were based near the heart of the city, giving them easy access to Gloucester’s various bars, clubs and the newly developed Quays. 

The team met at their club house at just after 10am and were picked up by their coach. They arrived into Gloucester on Friday afternoon and, after checking into their hotel, had the opportunity to walk into the centre of the city to sample to various bars and clubs Gloucester has on offer!

The following day the team were off to their tour fixture against Minchinhmapton RFC. After an entertaining encounter the final score was 44-44! Ollerton couldn’t praise Minchinhampton enough for their fantastic hosting and, as you can see from the photo below, Ollerton really embraced the tour spirit!

Sunday morning the team awoke with sore heads, but a free day to explore Gloucester. The newly developed Gloucester Quays has a range of bars and restaurants, as well as some fantastic shops. Check out Gloucester brewery, or travel to the nearby Cheltenham Spa.

Monday was the last day of their tour, and the team made their way home after breakfast. We were delighted to hear they’d had such a fantastic time away and we look forward to their next tour with us to Antwerp.
