Biography:

After leaving school with A Levels in Physical Education, Business Studies and Geography David combined his passion for sport and business at UWIC where he gained a Bsc Honours Degree in Sports Development. Joining the sports travel industry was a natural progression for David allowing him to maintain his keen interest in sport whilst transferring this in to a career in business. Having joined Burleigh Travel in 2006 David is a member of our Administration team where he enjoys piecing together the different aspects that go in to making a successful sports tour.  Working at Burleigh Travel has also allowed him to travel to several destinations giving him the opportunity to experience a variety of cultures despite his fear of flying.

Having started playing cricket at the age of eight David represented Gloucestershire at county level from U10s through to U16s which included an annual end of season tour. Although still a keen supporter of cricket, Davids main sporting interest now is golf which he plays on a regular basis including an annual golf tour with friends. He has also played tennis for many years for Redmarley Tennis Club who compete in the Gloucestershire Tennis League.

Away from sport, Davids main interests include stand up comedy, he is a massive fan of Rhod Gilbert, and music where his idol is Noel Gallagher.

Best Achievement:  Taking 6-18 for Gloucestershire in a youth county cricket match. I also dismissed James Hildreth who has since gone on to play professionally for Somerset scoring over 10,000 first class runs.
