Cricket Tour to Barbados

A touring party of 30 cricketers and their families departed Stourbridge in the West Midlands for their 2 week cricket tour in the paradise island of Barbados.

During their fun filled itinerary, the tourists enjoyed an irresistible combination of cricket, sightseeing and relaxation in breathtaking surroundings with unforgettable activities, such as a stunning catamaran cruise along the island coastline, where the highlight was the opportunity to swim with turtles. The group commented that the cruise represented excellent value for money and was a firm favourite with all who attended.

A visit to Barbados can often bring some chance encounters with the rich and famous and this cricket tour was no different. The tourists shared accommodation with the Barbados Football Team before going to watch them play Dominica in the Kensington Oval and met George Foreman in the hotel steak house!

The variety of vibrant nightlife was also thoroughly explored with the popular Harbour Lights being a nightspot that was returned to on numerous occasions throughout the cricket tour; its live entertainment and cheap prices making it great value for the tourists.

Upon their return from the cricket tour to Barbados, the tour organsier confirmed in a letter of thanks to Burleigh Travel that the only down side of tour was ‘that the two weeks went so quickly and we had to return home to rainy, cold England’!
