Cricket Tour to Barbados
For their 2009 cricket tour, the students from Sheffield University Cricket Club had a great time in Barbados from the moment they arrived in Gatwick to the time they touched down on British soil at the end of their 12 days of fun in the spectacular Caribbean island.
Lively nights out in the St Lawrence Gap with its famous night spots such as Harbour Lights entertained the students by night and a combination of four cricket matches, visits to sights and attractions such as the Kensington Oval, The Legends of Barbados Cricket Museum, a catamaran cruise as well as a deep sea fishing trip filled their days when they were not relaxing in the surroundings of their comfortable accommodation or nearby sandy beach.
The group were treated to a variety of Bajan meals by their fixture hosts and at popular nightspots such as Oistins and Accra Beach, all washed down with numerous Banks beers which was also a great treat.
