Senior Cricket Tour to Barbados

Winterbourne Cricket Club’s 15 day senior Cricket tour to the West Coast of this paradise island allowed the players to mix four cricket fixtures with the relaxed laid back Bajan lifestyle enjoyed by the locals. The renowned warm Bajan welcome was handed out at each of the four cricket matches with a special mention to Yorkshire Cricket Club for allowing the tourists to taste the typical Caribbean meal of chicken, rice and peas!!

Player of match trophies were awarded by Burleigh Travel for each game and some of the recipients can be seen pictured below.

Their fun packed itinerary allowed plenty of time to enjoy popular attractions such as the famous Mullins Bay and Boatyard Harbour where activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing and water trampolining are all available. The catamaran trip along the stunning coastline was a specific highlight of the cricket tour as an excellent day was had by all.

Of an evening, the group found that the island comes alive when the Bajans take to the local hotspots to party the night away and the group enjoyed visiting places such as the Harbour Lights Nightclub, McBride’s Irish Bar, The Boatyard and The renowned Oistins Fish Fry to experience the island after dark.
