Corby Business Academy had such a successful cricket tour to Holland in 2014 that they decided to run the same tour again the following year for their U15s cricket team. Holland continues to be one of the most popular destinations for junior and school tours due to its convenient location and famous hospitality.
Early on Thursday morning the players and staff assembled outside the school where they were met by their coach and driver. Next stop was Dover for the short ferry crossing, before the final leg of the trip to the hostel. The group checked in before dinner and some free time.
The following morning breakfast was served at the hostel, before the coach picked the team up for their first match. They faced off against the Hague cricket club, who they said were brilliant hosts; offering a good standard of cricket and great post match hospitality. After the match the coach took them back to the hostel for dinner and free time. The next day was much the same with breakfast before another local fixture.
Sunday was a real highlight of the tour with a day trip to Duinrell Amusement Park! The park has over 40 attractions including a number of roller coasters and water based rides.
Monday was the final match of the tour, this time against the VRA cricket club. This was another good game, where the team highly commented the hospitality they received. The coach then took them back to their accommodation for dinner and some free time.
