Ely Tigers took a group of 28 senior rugby players on tour to Warsaw, Poland. They were staying in Poland for 3 nights and playing against one local side SKRA Warszawa. The group arrived in Poland on the Friday morning where they checked into their accommodation and then had the day free to get there bearings of the town. The city offers so much to do, you can explore the many pubs and restaurants, or you can visit the ‘Old Town’ with the history of being destroyed in WWII. The area has been rebuilt and is now full of lively cafes, shops and restaurants.
On the Saturday the team had the morning and early afternoon free to explore the city. Then returned to the accommodation to get ready for a night out in the lively city of Warsaw.
Sunday the group had a free morning after they had had breakfast to prepare to travel to their fixture against SKRA Warszawa. The game was very competitive and with a few worse for wear the touring team didn’t manage to come out on top. After the game the host club took the team out into the local area and shared a few stories and beers together before the group headed back to the accommodation.
The team had the Monday morning to relax and reflect on a great tour before their flight home.
