Edinburgh University’s ladies rugby team embarked on a 4 night tour to the gorgeous Lloret de Mar! This region is renowned for its spectacular beaches which is reflected in the fact they have been awarded the EU Blue Flag, a benchmark guaranteeing the highest of standards of beach. It is also only a short drive from the country’s capital, Barcelona.
They flew out from Glasgow, arriving in Spain in the evening. The following day they had free to explore the local area, enjoy the beach and the hotel’s pool.
Tuesday was another day set aside for sightseeing. Barcelona is only a short drive from Lloret de Mar and is a must see on any tour to the region.
The next day was game day! The team had a match against local side Castelldefels LRFC. Edinburgh University commented on how lovely the team were, and how well looked after they were.
The next day they had the morning to relax before catching their flight back home.
