Coronavirus - Covid-19 Pandemic

Firstly and most importantly, we hope you are and your family are all safe and well and we wish you all the best over these difficult times.

In view of the well documented implications of the unprecedented worldwide Coronavirus pandemic, we want to reassure you that that the safety and well-being of all of our touring groups is very important to us and that we are closely monitoring advice from the Government, Foreign & Commonwealth Office and ABTA in order to keep our touring teams updated on their forthcoming travel plans.

We have been dealing with the repatriation of clients stuck in Spain and are now arranging for staff to work from home together with supporting those who are in self isolation, so as you will appreciate our staff resources are fairly limited.

We are however working around the clock to ensure that we can assist our customers with the most urgent needs, and are focusing on groups who are due to depart in the next few days and then in date of travel order and we ask for your patience to enable us to achieve this.

We will be contacting tour organisers of tours who’s travel plans are likely to be affected, so please assist us where possible by not calling our offices as we will contact you if your travel plans are affected.

Best wishes at what is a difficult time for us all and thanks for your understanding,

Many professorial players have travelled on Burleigh Travel rugby tours as mini or junior rugby players and by supporting the RPA and its charity we can give something back to the sport of rugby that we all love.

The aim of The RPA business partnership is to get to the heart of the game and align with rugby's core values in a proactive way. Burleigh Travel gain unprecedented access to elite rugby players both past and present while giving back to the game, as every business partnership directly benefits the players and the game.

The partnership also gives us the opportunity to invite tour organisers of our touring teams to fantastic events hosted by the RPA where you can rub shoulders with the stars of the game whilst enjoying champagne receptions, fine dining and the very best of entertainment whilst supporting and raising valuable funds for the RPA's charity RESTART RUGBY.

Restart Rugby is the official charity of The Rugby Players’ Association (RPA), which supports professional players forced to retire through illness or injury.

Players give their all for team, club and country, but their lives and careers can change in a split second. When the worst happens, Restart Rugby is there to provide players and their families with financial, practical and emotional support during difficult times, including help with medical treatment, rehabilitation, counselling and career transition.

Burleigh Travel are proud to have supported the Restart Rugby chairty for a number of years. We have run numerous charitable events to help raise funds to support players and their families affected by career ending injuries.
