Coronavirus - Covid-19 Pandemic

Firstly and most importantly, we hope you are and your family are all safe and well and we wish you all the best over these difficult times.

In view of the well documented implications of the unprecedented worldwide Coronavirus pandemic, we want to reassure you that that the safety and well-being of all of our touring groups is very important to us and that we are closely monitoring advice from the Government, Foreign & Commonwealth Office and ABTA.

We have been dealing with the repatriation of clients stuck in Spain and are supporting our staff who are in self isolation.

Our office is now in full lockdown and we have very limited email access but those who are able to work are working around the clock to ensure that we can assist our customers with the most urgent needs and our goal is to ensure that anyone due to travel in the next seven days has been updated on their tour and given a list of options available to them, we will not however have the resources to enter into conversations over these options at this stage.

We will continue to contact tour organisers whose travel plans have been effected.

The Harrogate Mini and Junior Rugby Festival 2019

The Harrogate rugby festival is recognised as the largest in the North of England and has now been running for a number of years, attracting teams from across the country.

Harrogate Mini Rugby Festival

You will be based in hostel accommodation at York Racecourse on the picturesque Knavesmire. The city of York and its surrounding areas has a variety of activities which will provide huge enjoyment for both the players and parents, making this a great destination for rugby groups and families alike.

York The Harrogate Rugby Festival

You may wish to visit York's most famous street, ‘The Shambles’ which is lined with timber-framed buildings housing a range of touristy shops. A number of Harry Potter scenes were filmed at the Shambles and it was the inspiration for Diagon Alley. 

Your Rugby Tour Itinerary 

Friday 26th April 2019 

You will depart your club and travel to York.  You will arrive early evening where you will check into your accommodation, leaving the remainder of the night to perhaps enjoy a group meal, explore your surroundings at the Racecourse or venture into York.

York Racecourse

Saturday 27th April 2019

After having breakfast at York racecourse the day will be free for activities in the local area.

You may wish to visit Wired High Ropes Challenge in York. There are a range of challenges at the centre including ‘Wired’, which is a suspended obstacle course, around 4 to 5 meters in height. Comprising of 22 elements, inclusive of a course ending zip-wire to bring back down to earth! And ‘Summit’, which is a vertical challenge course standing over 10 meters at it’s highest point and is made up of various activities such as a climbing wall, a leap of faith and a gladiator challenge.

Sunday 28th April 2019 - The Harrogate Rugby Festival

Here a full day’s rugby will take place in the impressive grounds of Harrogate Rugby Club. You will initially compete in groups before progressing to cup, plate and shield competitions. There will be food available throughout the day and once the tournament is complete and prizes awarded you will complete your journey home.

Monday 29th April 2019

This morning you will check out of your accommodation and may want to spend some free time in York before beginning the return journey home to complete your tour.
