Burleigh Travel would like to wish the thirty members of the Datchworth Rugby Club under 18’s tour party an enjoyable and memorable experience on their fourthcoming rugby tour to South Africa.
The group will enjoy a three-centre rugby tour to South Africa visiting the Umhlanga resort near to Durban, the Mkuzi Game Area and Cape Town. Each venue offers a variety of pastimes; in addition to a well organised rugby infrastructure in what is very much a rugby orientated country.
During the rugby tour to South Africa they will have the opportunity to play competative rugby fixtures versus Pinetown RFC and Clermont RFC in Durban as well as Excelsior High School and Tygerberg RFC in Cape Town.
As well as this playing competitive fixtures Burleigh Travel have also arranged for the group to visit the Newlands Forest area to enjoy a rugby training day with former Leicester, London Irish and Gloucester rugby star Jake Boer. The day will include 2 hours of fitness and fun in the forest area, an afternoon rugby skills clinic as well as lunch at a local rugby club and an evening BBQ; we do hope the players enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. Whilst not playing rugby, the group will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities including visiting Table Mountain, watch a Currie Cup rugby fixture, visit Robben Island and enjoy a safari boat tour, as well experiencing the varying cultures of this fascinating country.
