🏉 RUGBY FOR HEROES MINI RUGBY FESTIVAL 2026 ROUNDUP
Across the weekend of 27th to 29th March 2026, we were delighted to, once again, host the Rugby for Heroes Mini Rugby Festival at PGL Liddington in Wiltshire.
The 2026 festival welcomed over 1000 players, parents and coaches, with 40 teams enjoying a full weekend of mini rugby, team‑building activities, evening entertainment and fundraising, all set within the stunning Wiltshire countryside.

📍 Arrival Day
Touring groups arrived on a sunny Friday evening before checking into their accommodation. The weekend immediately got off to a great start with a group meal, followed by organised evening activities for the players, while parents and coaches were able to relax and socialise in the bar and communal areas at PGL Liddington.

🎯 Activities and Evening Karaoke
Saturday saw the groups fully immersed in the team‑building activities delivered by the experienced and fully qualified PGL activity team. With good weather throughout the day, the activities were enjoyed by everyone and proved to be one of the highlights of the weekend.

Then in the evening, after dinner and further activities, the touring groups took part in a karaoke competition in the function room and bar area. Well done to Holywood RFC U11 from Northern Ireland, who entertained the crowd and took the win.
🏉 Sunday Rugby Festival and Awards
The teams rolled out of bed to breakfast and then straight on to the pitches at Liddington ready for a busy morning of rugby, where they played at least 4 or 5 games each within their age grade’s maximum rugby allowance, against opposition from all over the UK.
The morning concluded with festival presentations, celebrating performance, teamwork and sportsmanship from across all age groups.

💪 Hand Strength Challenge Winners
Alongside the rugby, players also took part in the popular Hand Strength Challenge.

Our Rugby for Heroes Mini Rugby Festival 2027 is RFU approved so you can be assured that they will be run in line with the governing bodies’ guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment for your team.
While the rugby aspect is clearly a key factor at our Rugby for Heroes Mini festival 2027, it is equally important to allow your players time to enjoy team building and fun activities with their friends, as from our rugby festival feedback surveys this is one of the most important factors for them and it is often cited as one of the highlights of the weekend.
We also appreciate a Mini and Junior rugby festival format is not for everyone, so if you prefer a fixture-based tour which can be combined with an activity or watching top flight rugby then have a look at our Premiership Rugby Weekends 2027, as this is a very popular alternative to our Mini and Junior 2027 rugby festival options.
With our mini and junior rugby festivals 2027 becoming so popular many clubs return year after year meaning space at our events for new clubs to participate in is fairly limited, so the earlier you can make your enquiry the higher the chance will be to secure your space at one of our 2027 mini and junior rugby festivals or events. We can also tailor your tour to suit your individual requirements so please feel free to contact us to discuss what you have in mind.
📅 Book Your Place For Next Season
