With two events on over the weekend of 11th and 12th April, we held our 2025 Rugby for Heroes Mini Festival at PGL, Liddington in Wiltshire.
The weekend saw over 500 tourists and 30 teams participate in a combination of activities, rugby, evening entertainment and fun at the PGL Liddington site, in the Wiltshire countryside.
Arrival Day
The groups checked into their accommodation on the sunny Friday evening and the fun started immediately with a hearty dinner, evening activity for the players and an evening relaxing in the bars and function rooms at PGL Liddington for the parents and coaches.

Activities & Karaoke
On Saturday the groups were immersed in the team building activities put on by the experienced and fully qualified PGL team, which was enjoyed by all, especially as the sun was shining.

Then in the evening, after dinner and further activities, the touring groups took part in a karaoke competition in the function room and bar area. Well done to Holywood RFC U11 from Northern Ireland, who entertained the crowd and took the win.
Sunday Rugby Festival & Awards
The teams rolled out of bed to breakfast and then straight on to the pitches at Liddington ready for a busy morning of rugby, where they played at least 4 or 5 games each within their age grade’s maximum rugby allowance, against opposition from all over the UK.

Our Rugby for Heroes Mini Rugby Festival 2026 is RFU approved so you can be assured that they will be run in line with the governing bodies’ guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment for your team.
While the rugby aspect is clearly a key factor at our Rugby for Heroes Mini festival 2026, it is equally important to allow your players time to enjoy team building and fun activities with their friends, as from our rugby festival feedback surveys this is one of the most important factors for them and it is often cited as one of the highlights of the weekend.
We also appreciate a Mini and Junior rugby festival format is not for everyone, so if you prefer a fixture-based tour which can be combined with an activity or watching top flight rugby then have a look at our Premiership Rugby Weekends 2026, as this is a very popular alternative to our Mini and Junior 2026 rugby festival options.
With our mini and junior rugby festivals 2026 becoming so popular many clubs return year after year meaning space at our events for new clubs to participate in is fairly limited, so the earlier you can make your enquiry the higher the chance will be to secure your space at one of our 2026 mini and junior rugby festivals or events. We can also tailor your tour to suit your individual requirements so please feel free to contact us to discuss what you have in mind.
Amazing Feedback
All in all it’s safe to say the weekend was a huge success. We have had very positive feedback from all of the groups with the following review posted already.
