In February 2014 my colleague, Rob Morris and I visited the London Film Museum on London’s South Bank to attend the second Canada Shared Pop Up Event, organised by Tourism Canada, to gain a greater understanding of what activities can be included in our sports tours to Canada. The event brought together 54 Canadian Tourism Organisations for an intense day of face to face networking and education.
The day was spent one-to-one speed networking with representatives form attractions, accommodations and activity providers from across Canada, before the event was rounded off with an informal networking evening and reception.
During the event, we were able to gain a greater insight into the Algonquin wilderness; an area in Canada that gives sports teams the opportunity to participate in award-winning, nationally recognized Canadian Signature experiences such as:
- Stand up Paddle Boarding
- Dog Sledding
- Canoe/Camping Trips
- Wildlife Safari
Algonquin is an ideal area for school, junior or adult sports tours that are looking to experience Canada’s great outdoors. Being based in the depths of the Algonquin Park Forest, away from the technologies of the modern world, you have no excuse but to enjoy the company of your colleagues and peers whilst enjoying fun outdoor activities, and relaxing evenings toasting marshmallows around the campfire.

We have organised a number of successful sports tours to Canada and look forward to expanding our Canadian Sports Tour portfolio through exciting new relationships made at this event.
Many of our team visited Canada on familiarisation trips, with touring groups or on personal vacation so as a company we have knowledge of what is needed to make a sports tour to Canada extremely successful.
If you would like to arrange a Sports Tour to Canada to include a wilderness experience in the Algonquin region of Canada, visit our website and submit and online enquiry to receive your tailored Canadian Sports Tour Itinerary; we look forward to sharing this exciting opportunity with you.
