Coronavirus - Covid-19 Pandemic

Firstly and most importantly, we hope you are and your family are all safe and well and we wish you all the best over these difficult times.

In view of the well documented implications of the unprecedented worldwide Coronavirus pandemic, we want to reassure you that that the safety and well-being of all of our touring groups is very important to us and that we are closely monitoring advice from the Government, Foreign & Commonwealth Office and ABTA.

We have been dealing with the repatriation of clients stuck in Spain and are supporting our staff who are in self isolation.

Our office is now in full lockdown and we have very limited email access but those who are able to work are working around the clock to ensure that we can assist our customers with the most urgent needs and our goal is to ensure that anyone due to travel in the next seven days has been updated on their tour and given a list of options available to them, we will not however have the resources to enter into conversations over these options at this stage.

We will continue to contact tour organisers whose travel plans have been effected.

Best wishes at what is a difficult time for us all and thanks for your understanding,

Amsterdam Cup Junior Football Tournament

On the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th May over 160 teams participated in the Amsterdam Cup Junior Football Tournament. In its 12th year this well established and brilliantly run festival is the ideal culmination to the football season and Burleigh Travel would like to congratulate the winners at each age group. The Asmterdam Cup Youth Football Tournament

Edenham High School took two teams across at U14 and U15 age groups and both had successful tournaments. The U14 side had a fantastic day on the Saturday winning all four group matches and thus progressing to the final group on the Sunday. They played some fantastic football throughout both days and just narrowly lost out on winning their age group by 1 point! The U15 side also played some wonderful football and came 3rd in their group on the first day and progressed through to the plate competition. They came 2nd in their group and therefore played a 3rd/4th place playoff and after a tough game they came through to triumph and finish 3rd in the 2nd tier competition and our congratulations go to both teams.

K9 Colts FC U16 had an interesting first day of competition where they managed to draw three of their four games and as such finished 4th in their group. They then entered the 2nd tier competition where a win, two draws and a defeat ensured they finished a very respectable 3rd place. Special mention must go to the defence who only conceded 4 goals in 8 games over the weekend.

NJ Wythenshawe FC U17 went in to the competition confident of progressing well and they did not disappoint being unbeaten throughout the first day to ensure they topped their group on goal difference. On the Sunday the team played exceptionally well however two draws in their four matches meant they had to settle for a fantastic 2nd place. Credit must go to the team on a wonderful achievement.
