The Bournemouth Mini and Junior Rugby Festival returns in 2018 to the beautiful seaside resort on the southern coast. It is one of the largest and most established rugby festivals in the UK and last year had nearly 120 Mini and approximately 40 Junior teams competing.
The event is conveniently scheduled to take place during the school Easter break to guarantee the maximum uptake form your club and ensures a large number of teams taking part! The tournament is run to RFU guidelines to ensure your team has the most rugby possible.
Tour Itinerary
Friday 13th April
Travelling by coach from your club you will arrive at your accommodation, the popular Sandford Holiday Park, where you will have the chance to enjoy all of the onsite activities. These include a heated pool, tennis, crazy golf, amusement arcade and Tenpin Bowlingo.
That evening you will enjoy the now legendary Burleigh Travel reception party! It is the perfect way to kick off your weekend. The tour organiser and coaches will have the chance to meet up, and socialise with the representatives from the other touring teams and to meet the Burleigh Travel Staff while enjoying complimentary food and drink.
Saturday 14th April
The Junior teams kick off the weekends action in the impressive grounds of Bournemouth Rugby Club. You can expect a full day of rugby with initial group stages progressing to cup, plate and shield competitions.
There will be food available throughout the day and once the tournament is complete and prizes awarded you will return to your accommodation to continue your celebrations.
Sunday 15th April
Sunday is the turn of the Mini’s to enjoy a full day’s rugby. Your team will compete in groups in a round robin format ensuring that your team will play as much rugby as they are allowed to play in a one day festival in line with RFU guidelines.
There will be food available throughout the day and once the tournament is complete and prizes awarded you will return to your accommodation to continue your celebrations. Those staying for two nights will return home directly from the tournament.
Monday 16th April
After checking out of your accommodation the day is free to make the most of the parks facilities, before you begin your journey home.
