The Royal Engineers picked Lloret de Mar in Spain as the destination for their football tour with us. Lloret is a brilliant place to tour to with award winning beaches, a vibrant nightlife and competitive football. Barcelona is also only an hour away so we always recommend taking a day to explore this amazing city.

Liverpool was the most convenient airport for the team to travel from, and their two teams met there on Friday evening. Arriving into Spain in the evening they were met at the airport by their coach and made their way to the hotel. There was time for some food and a free all inclusive drinks to start their tour off!

Saturday was free for a day trip to Barcelona. This is a highly recommended trip during tours to Spain. There is so much to see and do. We can help arrange a tour of Nou Camp or, depending on fixtures and availability, you can even watch Barcelona play. There is also world famous architecture to see, and some fantastic bars and restaurants to sample.

The following day the teams had the morning and early afternoon to relax and enjoy the beach before the first tour game of the trip. The women faced off against Club Esportiu Congres. They had a great time and commented on how well they were hosted!

Monday was laid out in a similar way with the day free to enjoy the hotel facilities and local beach before evening fixtures for the two teams. The Men had local side De Palafrugell Mont-Ras, while the women played Celtic Club Les Franqueses. 

The men’s team had their second tour fixture on Tuesday evening against Misterio FC. Again this was another great match followed by some post match beers and hosting.
