Wolverhampton Ladies went on their first rugby tour as a team this year, with a weekend over to Dublin. This vibrant city is a brilliant destination for rugby tours, and has seen massive growth in the ladies and girl’s game with them hosting the Women’s World Cup this year. Dublin has a brilliant nightlife for some post match beers, and our host clubs are renowned for their hospitality.
Meeting at their club house on Friday morning the team boarded their coach and headed for Holyhead port. After the short crossing into Dublin port they were taken to their accommodation, and had the evening to explore and enjoy Dublin’s famous nightlife.
The following morning the team awoke with a few sore heads and had the morning free to recover and fit in some sightseeing. After lunch they had a match against local side Navan RFC. This was a really close game and Wolverhampton commented on how well matched the two teams were.
They also commented on how welcoming and friendly the club was as a whole and enjoyed some fantastic post match hospitality with them before another night out in Dublin.
The next day the team travelled home after what sounded like a fantastic weekend.
