Thirty players set off from Cleckheaton Rugby Club for an unforgettable four night tour to Vilnius, Lithuania. This is a great destination for senior rugby tours. Vilnuis’s Old Town is full of bars, restaurants and cafes, with a vibrant nightlife. It has become one of Europe’s most popular destinations to visit.

The team met at the airport for their lunchtime flight into Vilnius. Arriving in the early evening the team had the chance to check in to their accommodation before exploring the local nightlife. The following morning the team had breakfast at the hotel before a free day to explore Lithuania’s capital city. 

On Friday morning the team had the chance to do some more exploring before an afternoon match against Gelezinis Vilkas RFC. This was a brilliant match with Cleckheaton scoring in the final minutes to win the game 22-21! The hosting after the game was a real highlight as a barrel of beer was rolled out and a BBQ put on for the team. 

The team had Saturday to enjoy the local area. As with most capital cities there is so much to see and do, such as a brewery tours or a trip to the Old Town. The next day the team flew home after a great couple of days.
